Winter Wonderland was born the Christmas of 1987. Fueled by twinkling lights outside of his window, creator Chris Birkett began this journey. The display has lived at 5 different homes and spent a season out at Schnepf Farm in 2005. This is our 35th season of Winter Wonderland! Opening Dec. 8th and running through Jan. 1st! There 265,000, 9 different computerized shows with snowfall, bubbles and pyrotechnics. Come enjoy the spirit of Christmas in Arizona!

Zoo Lights

Embrace the festive spirit with the Valley’s cherished holiday tradition – ZooLights! This year, the enchantment reaches new heights, boasting nearly four million lights, a multitude of captivating displays, and the debut of Wildlife Lanterns. Be captivated by the return of the tallest floating tree in North America, featuring an original musical accompaniment and a mesmerizing synchronized light show. The excitement continues with an enhanced s’mores station, a seasonally adorned Glow Garden for interactive delights, and a captivating 200-foot-long light tunnel to wander through. And, of course, anticipate the arrival of Santa for delightful photo opportunities at the zoo. Join us for a luminous celebration that will spark joy and create lasting memories!

Mesa Temple

In a luminous return, the grounds of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple near downtown Mesa have revived their breathtaking light display for the first time since 2017. This captivating spectacle, adorned with an array of dazzling lights, welcomes visitors with the warmth of the holiday spirit. The revival of this extensive light showcase not only illuminates the temple surroundings but also offers the community a remarkable and free experience, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration for all to enjoy.

Riparian After Dark

Immerse yourself in the enchanting holiday ambiance as the Riparian Preserve blossoms with a festive glow during Gilbert’s much-anticipated annual Riparian After Dark event, generously presented by the collaborative efforts of Sundt and PCL Construction. Take a leisurely stroll along the 1.5 miles of winding trails and walkways that meander through the park, where thousands of holiday lights and captivating displays illuminate the night. This unique event offers nature enthusiasts a rare opportunity to savor the thrill of the preserve after dark, embracing the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings in a whole new light. To complement the magical atmosphere, local food and drink vendors will be on hand, ready to delight attendees with a delectable array of holiday treats. It’s a festive celebration that combines the wonders of nature with the joyous spirit of the season.
